Basic function: Provide assigned residents with routine daily nursing care in accordance with established nursing care procedures, state and federal guidelines, and as directed by your supervisor.
Assist with lifting, turning, moving and positioning and transporting residents into and out of beds, chairs, bathtubs, wheelchairs, lifts, etc.
Give or assist resident with dressing, bathing, dental and mouth care.
Keep incontinent residents’ and all residents clean, dry and odor free. Must check resident every two hours.
Assist residents with changing clothes and gowns, hair combing and brushing, shampooing and styling.
Maintain and chart timely and accurately daily.
Prepare residents for meals, assist serving food trays or feed as necessary and record/report resident intake or acceptance of food.
Serve between meals and bedtime snacks or nourishment.
Report immediately, skin breakdown or redness to the nurse on duty, report physical or emotional changes, complaints or grievances made by the resident. Report all hazardous conditions and equipment to nurse on duty.
Respond to all call lights within 10 minutes.
Follow established safety precautions in performance of all duties.
