Elevation Senior Finance are delighted to be recruiting a Financial Controller for a successful and growing SME business in Sheffield.
Reporting to the Managing Director, you will have full responsibility for the finance function, providing accurate and insightful reporting, as well as ad-hoc financial analysis to support the ongoing success of the business.
Responsibilities will include:
* Leading key aspects of financial planning, forecasting & budgeting
* Managing and improving working capital and cash flow
* Preparing budgets and providing support to budget holders in reviewing variances
* Leading month end processes
* Producing monthly reconciliations
* Managing and reconciling petty cash, bank and credit cards
* Preparing and reviewing monthly management
* Presenting to the Board of Directors
* Preparation of draft year end accounts for submission to external accountants
* Completing timely Companies House, VAT returns and other submissions as required
* Assistance to the auditors with their annual audit
* Identifying and progressing training to support the development of members of the Finance Team in line with company strategy and objectives
Key Skills / experience required:
* Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) or QBE
* Prior experience of managing a finance function
* People management experience
* Strong communication skills
