HEALTH AND SAFETY MANAGER (LONG TERM CONTRACT)
DECOM AND DEMO EXPERIENCE.

Clearfield Recruitment are looking for a Health & Safety Manager in Birmingham starting in August.

This will be working with a construction main contractor which will involve demolition, decommissioning and strip out. We are requiring an experienced H&S Manager with this specific contractual experience.

The Role

As Health & Safety Manager, you will lead our health and safety efforts from the front line, working closely with site teams, subcontractors, and senior leadership to ensure compliance, drive best practices, and create a culture of safety first.

Key Responsibilities
·Develop, implement, and maintain company-wide health & safety policies and procedures
·Conduct regular site inspections and audits, reporting findings and following up on corrective actions
·Lead incident and accident investigations, ensuring accurate reporting and learning outcomes
·Provide coaching, support, and training to project teams and supply chain partners
·Monitor and ensure compliance with all relevant legislation (e.g., CDM Regulations, HSE standards)
·Collaborate with project manager to check and approve risk assessments and method statements (RAMS) from specialist demolition and decommissioning contractors
·Act as the key point of contact with external health and safety bodies and inspectors
