Transport Planner (Temp to Perm)Pay Rate: £14.35 per hourHours: Monday – Friday, 08:30 – 17:00Location: CardiffPertemps are recruiting for an organised and proactive Transport Planner to join our client in Cardiff on a temp to perm basis.The RoleAs a Transport Planner, you will be responsible for coordinating daily transport activities, ensuring the efficient and timely movement of goods across the network. Working closely with the warehouse and wider operations team, you’ll play a key part in maintaining a smooth service.Key Responsibilities:

• Planning and scheduling daily transport routes to meet delivery deadlines
• Communicating with drivers and providing updates throughout the shift
• Monitoring vehicle movements and adjusting plans when required
• Ensuring compliance with transport legislation and company standards
• Handling customer queries and providing accurate delivery information
• Updating internal systems with delivery routes, changes, and completion times
• Problem-solving issues such as delays, breakdowns, or urgent delivery requests
• Working closely with warehouse and operations teams

What We’re Looking For:

• Previous experience in transport planning or a similar logistics/operations role
• Strong communication and coordination skills
• Ability to prioritise tasks and work under pressure
• Good IT skills, including using planning or transport management systems
• A proactive, solutions-focused approach
