Responsibilities and Duties of the Electrical Technician role

Reporting to the Electrical Supervisor you will:

The maintenance, repair and overhaul on a variety equipment such as; Motors, Control Panels, Actuators, Transformers, Conveyors and Generators, etc
Ensuring the maintenance reports and logs are kept up to date
Ensuring maintenance activities are carried out within defined budgets
Diagnosing and fault finding of electrical problems
Ensuring compliance to all health & safety & legal requirements
Representing the company in a professional manner
Working as part of a call out rota
Respond to reactive maintenance call outs
Maintaining accurate maintenance and inspection logs up to date
Assist in outage planning, scheduling and coordination
Comply with all required quality assurance processes.
Complete a minimum of two safety observations per month, along with one vehicle inspection.
Complete all necessary reports and technical documentation to support your activities.Professional qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following:

Time Served Apprenticeship in an Electrical Engineering field
CompEx trained would be highly desirable
Previous experience of electrical testing, installation and fault finding
Experience working in a heavy process environment such as a power station, refinery, chemical plant or paper mill.
As this is a field based role, a full UK driving licence is a necessity
