Urgent: SEN Teaching Assistant (11-16) - Oldham

Position: SEN Teaching Assistant (Level 2+)
Location: Specialist SEMH School, Oldham
Age Group: 11-16 years
Start Date: ASAP / September 2024
Salary: £90-£110 per day (dependent on experience)
Contract: Temp-to-Perm (Full-Time)

About the Role:

Value Education is seeking a resilient and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a dynamic SEMH provision in Oldham. You'll work closely with students aged 11-16 who have social, emotional, and mental health needs, helping them re-engage with learning in a supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

✔ Provide 1:1 and small-group support to students with SEMH needs
✔ Implement de-escalation strategies and trauma-informed approaches
✔ Assist teachers in delivering tailored lessons and interventions
✔ Support students with emotional regulation and social skills development
✔ Help maintain a safe, structured, and positive learning environment

Requirements:

✅ TA Level 2 qualification (minimum) - Level 3 preferred
✅ Right to Work in the UK (essential)
✅ Experience with challenging behaviour/SEMH (school, PRU, or care settings)
✅ Team Teach trained (ideal) - Willingness to train if not
✅ Resilience, patience, and a proactive attitude
