Graduate Project Manager / Assistant Project Manager
Location: Birmingham (Office & Site Based)Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 per annum
About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and driven Graduate Project Manager / Assistant Project Manager to join a growing team based in Birmingham. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to launch or develop their project management career, working across both office and site environments on a variety of projects.
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the successful delivery of projects from inception through to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the planning, coordination, and delivery of projects from start to finish
- Monitor project progress, budgets, and timelines, reporting to senior management
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery
- Attend and contribute to project meetings, both in the office and on-site
- Manage project documentation, including programmes, reports, and risk registers
- Support the identification and resolution of project issues and risks
- Travel to sites across the region as required
What They Are Looking For
- A degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Real Estate, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline
- Working towards or holding a professional qualification such as MRICS
- Some previous experience in a project management or assistant project management role is advantageous
- A full, valid UK driving licence and access to own vehicle (essential)
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management tools
- A proactive, problem-solving mindset
