Training and Development
Full training is provided. Following a successful probation period, they will support and fully fund your Level 3 Diploma in Residential Child Care, helping you build a long-term and rewarding career in care.
About the Role
We are currently recruiting Support/Care Workers to join a specialist residential children’s setting which provides care, education and therapeutic support for children and young people aged 9-19.
The young people the home supports have severe and profound communication difficulties, often associated with conditions such as cerebral palsy, autism, brain injury and degenerative disorders. This is a challenging yet incredibly rewarding role where you can make a genuine difference every day.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing high-quality care and support during daily activities, including:
- Washing, dressing and personal care
- Socialising, learning and play activities
- Supporting therapy sessions, including hydrotherapy and rebound therapy
- Building strong, trusting relationships to empower children and young adults to grow and develop
- Ensuring the environment is safe, supportive and enjoyable
- Encouraging independence, learning and social skill development where possible
- Adapting to a range of duties as required and working flexibly as part of the wider team
