Reed Accountancy are currently assisting an established client in the Horley area in the recruitment of a part time Finance Administrator to provide essential administrative and financial support to their Finance Team. This role will be required for 15 hours a week over 2 days on an initial 6 month FTC and is ideal for someone who is highly organised, detail-focused, and confident using financial systems and supplier processes. The successful candidate will help maintain accurate financial records, streamline processes, and ensure timely month-end preparation.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Purchasing Management: Handle all purchasing requests with accurate coding and authorisation, liaise with suppliers on invoices and delivery queries, and maintain precise purchasing records.
  • Month-End Preparation: Conduct audits, prepare transactions for month-end, review spending, and assist in compiling necessary documentation.
  • Credit Card Administration: Manage reconciliations, ensure policy compliance, and handle receipt tracking and transaction coding.
  • Inbox & Communication Management: Oversee finance-related inboxes, manage communications, and respond to enquiries, ensuring clarity and accuracy.
  • Contract Management Support: Maintain the contracts register, track renewals, support tender processes, and ensure documentation is up-to-date and organised.
  • General Support: Provide financial advice to managers, update procedures, assist with fire alarm tests, and support the Finance Director with various administrative tasks.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience in a finance-support and/or administrative role.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise effectively.
  • Confident using Excel and finance-related systems.
  • Clear and professional communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Desirable: Experience in health or social care settings, knowledge of purchasing processes, reconciliations, or corporate card management.
