We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Nursery Practitioner (Level 2 or 3) to join a vibrant team in a setting close to Barnet and contribute to the nurturing environment of this wonderful nursery. The nursery offers a warm and friendly welcome where children from 3 months to 5 years enjoy engaging learning experiences.

This nursery is located close to both the tube and the overland train stations and is also well served by local bus routes. As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a pivotal role in fostering a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment for the children in your care.

Responsibilities:
  • Parental Engagement: Building strong partnerships with parents through effective communication, providing updates on children's development, and organizing parent meetings
  • Child Development: Implementing and monitoring age-appropriate activities that promote physical, emotional, social, and intellectual development
  • Curriculum Planning: Creating and delivering engaging lesson plans in alignment with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework
  • Observation and Assessment: Conducting regular observations and assessments to track children's progress and tailoring activities to meet individual needs
  • Health and Safety: Ensuring a secure and hygienic environment, following health and safety regulations, and conducting risk assessments
  • Team Collaboration: Working collaboratively with colleagues to maintain a cohesive and supportive team, sharing best practices and contributing to continuous improvement
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Level 2 or 3 Early Years Educator (EYE) Qualification: A recognized Level 2/3 qualification in early childhood education or equivalent
  • Experience: Proven experience in a nursery setting, demonstrating a deep understanding of child development and effective teaching strategies
  • EYFS Knowledge: Strong knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework and its practical application in a childcare setting
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage positively with both children and parents
  • Passion for Learning: A genuine passion for fostering a love of learning in young children, coupled with a commitment to ongoing professional development
