We're seeking a passionate, empathetic, and proactive School Mental Health Assistant to join a forward-thinking secondary school in Luton, dedicated to supporting the emotional wellbeing and development of its students.

About the Role:

As a School Mental Health Assistant, you'll work closely with the school's pastoral and SEN team to:
Provide 1:1 and small group support to students experiencing mental health or emotional challenges.
Assist in developing behaviour intervention plans and wellbeing strategies.
Support students affected by trauma, anxiety, low mood, or social difficulties.
Help implement restorative and trauma-informed approaches across the school.
Liaise with families, external agencies, and safeguarding leads to ensure holistic support.

What We're Looking For:

A degree in Psychology, Criminology, or a related field.
A genuine passion for working with young people and promoting mental health.
Empathy, resilience, and excellent communication skills.
Some experience (paid or voluntary) working with vulnerable individuals or children is desirable but not essential - we offer full training.
