The Best Connection are currently recruiting on behalf of our client in the Telford area for machine operators/ shift supervisor!
The successful candidate will be responsible for the setup, operation, and basic programming of CNC machinery to produce high-quality components in line with engineering specifications and production targets.
Shift time:
Monday - Thursday 06:00-14:00
Friday 06:00-10:00
Payrate :
£12.47 per hour
Machine Operative Duties:- Set up and operate machines according to job specifications
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and job instructions
- Select, install, and adjust tooling and fixtures as required
- Run machine programs and make basic program edits or offsets when needed
- Monitor machine operations and production runs to ensure accuracy and efficiency
- Identify and troubleshoot machine or program issues, reporting faults when necessary
- Maintain a clean and safe working area in line with health and safety standards
- Complete production documentation, recording measurements, output, and any deviations
- Work closely with supervisors, engineers, and quality teams to meet production targets
Requirements- Previous experience using CNC machine or similar machine operator role
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings and engineering documentation
- Knowledge of CNC machinery and tooling
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Ability to use measurement instruments
- Good problem-solving skills and ability to work with minimal supervision
- Strong awareness of safety procedures and best practices
- Flexibility to work shifts or overtime when required
