A well-established organisation operating across the UK and Europe is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to join their growing team. The company specialises in the design, manufacture, and delivery of prefabricated mechanical and electrical building services solutions, with a strong focus on sustainability and innovation. Role Overview

This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the development of low-carbon infrastructure through the design of electrical systems for energy centres and district heating schemes. You'll be involved in producing build-ready designs using industry-standard software and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, coordinated solutions.

Responsibilities

Conduct site surveys to assess existing services and integration options.
Produce electrical design drawings, specifications, and cable routing plans across all project phases.
Develop control panel schematics and operational descriptions for building management systems (BMS).
Ensure designs comply with relevant health, safety, and quality standards.
Attend design meetings and liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
Support commissioning teams with BMS control integration and testing.
Occasional travel across the UK may be required.Requirements

HNC/HND or equivalent in Electrical or Control Engineering.
Minimum 3 years' experience in building services design.
Proficiency with electrical design software (e.g. Amtech, Electrical OM).
Strong understanding of industry regulations and best practices.
Excellent communication, organisation, and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.Desirable Skills

Experience in commercial M&E design.
Familiarity with AutoCAD, MEP, Revit, or similar software.Benefits
