Senior Quantity Surveyor - Freelance (Water/Civils)
Location: North London (Thames Water Framework)
Rate: £550-£650/day (Inside IR35 via Umbrella PAYE)
Duration: 5-6 months (extendable)
Start: May 2026

TRIbuild Solutions are recruiting a Senior Quantity Surveyor to support a major water infrastructure programme across North London, working with a leading Tier-1 contractor.

This is a key commercial role on a long-term framework, delivering a mix of civils, utilities and infrastructure projects ranging from £200k to £10m+.

Key Responsibilities:

• Cost & value reporting, CVRs and forecasting
• Subcontract procurement, management and final accounts
• Applications for payment and cash flow management
• Commercial management of NEC contracts
• Managing variations, change control and claims
• Liaising with client and project teams to drive commercial performance

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor in civils/utilities/water
• Strong NEC contract knowledge (IChemE beneficial)
• Experience managing subcontractors and commercial processes
• Strong reporting, forecasting and commercial awareness
• Ideally 5+ years' experience at SQS level
