Fire Stopping Supervisor - Motherwell (Scotland) - Freelance / Temp to Perm Opportunity

We are currently seeking an experienced Fire Stopping Supervisor to oversee passive fire protection works on social housing projects based in Motherwell, near Glasgow. This is a long-term opportunity with the option to remain freelance or transition into a permanent role.

The role

You will be responsible for supervising fire stopping installations and remedial works across multiple residential blocks within the same area. The position involves managing site teams, ensuring works are delivered safely and in line with compliance standards, and maintaining accurate digital records.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise fire stopping works within loft spaces and communal areas
• Manage and coordinate a team of approximately 10-15 operatives across several sites
• Ensure works are completed in line with compliance standards and specifications
• Oversee and manage digital reporting and timesheets using OneTrace
• Monitor productivity, quality, and health & safety on site
• Coordinate materials and maintain van stock where required
• Travel between nearby sites as part of the project delivery

Requirements

• Strong experience supervising fire stopping or passive fire protection works
• CSCS card essential
• SSSTS or SMSTS required
• Asbestos Awareness, Manual Handling and Working at Height (training can be provided if needed)
• Experience using OneTrace or similar digital reporting software is highly desirable
• Full UK driving licence

• Freelance day rate circa £220 - £240 (depending on experience)
