What You’ll Need

  • Level 3 qualification in Early Years (or equivalent)
  • Proven experience in an early years setting, ideally in a senior or leadership role
  • Strong knowledge of the EYFS and child development principles
  • Ability to lead, inspire, and support a small team of practitioners
  • A warm, proactive, and child-centred approach
  • Clear understanding of safeguarding, inclusion, and health & safety standards
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the day-to-day running of your room, ensuring high-quality care and education
  • Plan, implement, and reflect on engaging learning experiences in line with the EYFS
  • Support, mentor, and motivate your team to achieve their potential
  • Observe and track children’s development, ensuring individual needs are met
  • Foster strong, respectful relationships with children, parents, and carers
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and inclusive environment at all times
  • Contribute to whole-nursery initiatives and help drive continuous improvement
