The Opportunity:

A vibrant and nurturing primary school located in the heart of Westminster is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Year 1 Teacher to join their passionate team in September 2025. The successful candidate will be part of a supportive and collaborative team, focused on delivering engaging and enriching experiences for all students in Year 1.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan, deliver, and assess engaging, high-quality lessons that follow the Year 1 National Curriculum, with a focus on both academic and social development.

Use a variety of formative and summative assessments to track pupil progress, providing constructive feedback and ensuring continuous improvement.

*

Create and maintain a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that supports both learning and personal development.

*

Collaborate with colleagues, teaching assistants, and school leadership to deliver a cohesive and engaging curriculum.

*

Build strong, positive relationships with parents and carers, keeping them informed of their child's progress and well-being.

*

Contribute to the wider school community through participation in extracurricular activities, school events, and ongoing professional development.

Person Specification:

*

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

*

Strong understanding of the Year 1 curriculum and experience in delivering engaging, differentiated lessons.

*

Proven ability to assess and track pupil progress, tailoring teaching to meet the diverse needs of learners.

*

Excellent classroom management skills, with the ability to create a positive and focused learning environment.

*

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build meaningful relationships with students, staff, and parents.

*

A passion for teaching and a commitment to professional development and lifelong learning.
