Are you a hands-on engineer who enjoys working independently and solving real-world technical problems?

We’re looking for a Field Services Technician to support critical transport infrastructure across London. This role involves maintaining and repairing complex electromechanical systems that keep a major transport network running safely and efficiently.

You’ll work in a structured and well-supported engineering environment where technicians are trusted to manage their own workload while following clear safety and compliance procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Fault finding, repair, and preventative maintenance on transport and gate systems
  • Attend planned and reactive jobs across the London network
  • Work independently while following strict safety procedures
  • Complete job reports using a tablet-based job system
  • Manage allocated tools, stock, and equipment

Requirements

  • Experience in Electrical, Mechanical, or Electronic Engineering
  • Full UK driving licence (max 6 points)
  • Previous night shift experience if applying for night roles

Nice to Have

  • Mechanical experience with motors, gears, belts, and pulleys
  • Background in transport, white goods, vending, parking, or fare collection equipment
  • Ex-military engineering background
