Description

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage end-to-end payroll processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
  • Develop and implement payroll policies and procedures to improve efficiency and consistency.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless integration of payroll data with accounting and finance systems.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of payroll legislation and ensure compliance with all relevant laws.
  • Lead and mentor the payroll team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
  • Provide detailed payroll reports to senior management, highlighting trends and key performance metrics.
  • Manage relationships with external payroll providers and ensure service levels are met.

Profile

A successful Payroll Director should have:

  • Proven expertise in payroll management, particularly within the professional services industry.
  • Must come from a directorship / senior manager role within client focused payrolls.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll systems, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Experience in leading and developing high-performing teams.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in accounting and finance practices related to payroll operations.
  • Effective communication skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
  • A professional qualification in payroll or finance is desirable.
