About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced safeguarding professional to take on a national leadership role within a large and established adult social care provider.

As the National Safeguarding Lead - Adults & Specialist Services, you will oversee safeguarding strategy, governance, and operational standards across a diverse range of adult care services. This is a high-profile role, working closely with senior leaders, external regulators, and operational teams to ensure a safe, compliant, and person-centred culture across the organisation.

What You'll Be Doing

Lead the design and implementation of a robust adult safeguarding strategy.

Act as the organisation's subject matter expert on safeguarding adults at risk.

Establish and lead a national safeguarding forum to review incident trends, training compliance, and share best practice.

Oversee serious case reviews, Section 42 enquiries, and safeguarding investigations.

Collaborate with Learning & Development teams to shape and deliver effective safeguarding training.

Champion co-production, empowering individuals through education and engagement.

Provide operational support to services and represent the organisation at external safeguarding meetings.

Design and implement safeguarding audits that promote learning and continuous improvement.

About You

Relevant professional qualification in Health, Social Care, or Safeguarding.

Extensive experience in a senior safeguarding role within adult services.

Strong knowledge of legislation, CQC requirements, and safeguarding frameworks.

Skilled in incident investigation, reporting, and stakeholder engagement.

Proven track record in delivering safeguarding training at scale.

Excellent knowledge of related frameworks: MCA, DoLS, Prevent, Human Rights Act, Equality Act.
