We are seeking a dedicated Level 2 Nursery Practitioner to join a nurturing team in Burnley. This role involves working with a nurture group of SEND children, providing specialised care and support. The ideal candidate will have experience in special educational needs (SEN) and a passion for early childhood development.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Provide tailored support and care to a group of SEND children within the nursery setting.
  • Implement engaging and educational activities that cater to the specific needs of SEND children.
  • Collaborate with other nursery staff to plan and coordinate daily activities and routines.
  • Monitor and record the progress and development of children, adapting activities to meet their individual needs.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for all children.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers about their children's development and daily activities.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Level 2 qualification in Childcare or equivalent.
  • Proven experience working with SEND children in a nursery or similar setting.
  • Strong understanding of the needs and care requirements of SEND children.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning.
