We are partnering with a long-established organisation that operates across several locations and is looking to add a Management Accountant to its finance function on a maternity cover basis.

This position would suit someone who enjoys collaborating with operational teams, translating financial data into meaningful insights, and supporting stakeholders in understanding business performance. The role provides a varied mix of management reporting, forecasting, and business partnering, giving you the opportunity to contribute to decision-making across different areas of the business.

You will join a collaborative and supportive finance team and gain exposure to a broad range of financial processes, systems, and internal stakeholders. It's an excellent opportunity for someone keen to further develop their management accounting skills within a dynamic environment.

Key responsibilities will include:

Preparing monthly management accounts for several business units, including detailed commentary and analysis against budget and forecast.

Partnering with operational teams to review financial performance and explain key variances.

Assisting with the annual budgeting and forecasting cycle, including the collection, review, and consolidation of financial information.

Completing monthly VAT returns and ensuring compliance with current HM Revenue & Customs guidance.

Supporting the preparation of financial information required for regulatory and statutory reporting.

Assisting with both internal and external audit processes, including the preparation of reconciliations and supporting documentation.

Building a strong understanding of internal finance systems and contributing to improvements in reporting and processes where possible
