Safeguarding Social Worker
Position Overview:
As a Safeguarding Social Worker, you will play a vital role in assessing and managing risks to children and young people, ensuring their safety and protection from harm. You will work closely with families, caregivers, and partner agencies to develop and implement effective safeguarding plans tailored to the unique needs of each child or young person.
Key Responsibilities:
Conducting thorough assessments to identify safeguarding concerns and risks to children
Collaborating with families, professionals, and partner agencies to develop and implement safeguarding plans
Providing support, guidance, and advocacy to children, families, and caregivers
Monitoring and reviewing the effectiveness of safeguarding interventions
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work
Registered with Social Work England
Minimum three years experience working in child protection or safeguarding roles
Strong knowledge of modern legislation, policies, and procedures
Excellent communication, assessment, report writing and decision-making skills
