A respected and growing building services contractor based in Staffordshire is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their technical team. Specialising in commercial fit out projects, they deliver high-quality mechanical solutions for office and retail environments across the UK. Your new role
As Mechanical Design Engineer, you'll take the lead on mechanical design activities from early concept through to construction-ready documentation. You'll manage internal design resources, liaise with clients and consultants, and ensure all solutions meet project specifications and industry standards. The role includes occasional travel to London for site visits and client meetings.
What you'll need to succeed

Strong technical knowledge of mechanical building services, including HVAC and plumbing
Proven experience in design roles within commercial fit-out (office/retail)
Ability to manage multiple projects and work independently
Excellent communication skills and confidence in client-facing situations
Willingness to travel for site surveys and technical meetings
Consultant-side experience will also be consideredWhat you'll get in return

Competitive salary between £45,000 - £65,000 depending on experience
£30/month phone allowance
Contributory pension scheme (5% employee / 3% employer)
