Established for over eight decades, their high-end Injection Moulding Machines are used in a multitude of industries including Automotive, Aerospace, FMCG, Pharmaceutical, White Goods and Food & Beverage Industries.

With a turnover of over £1.5 billion Worldwide, the UK is one their fastest growing and busiest sectors thanks to a buoyant Manufacturing industry. Thanks to this growth, the business are dramatically increasing the size of their Field Service and Installation Teams to help cope with the influx of orders from their customers.

About the role

As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for routine services of the Injection Moulding Machines as well as attending any breakdowns that the customer cannot fix themselves. From time to time the Field Service Engineer would also assist the Installation and Commissioning Team with new Installs.

The Field Service Engineer will be required to work on both Electrical and Mechanical Systems, including PLC controls systems. This would include changing parts like for like, and performing resets on the PLC system through the HMI screen or via Laptop.

Where possible the Engineers will be kept within a local area, attending customers within a 2 hour radius, however the Field Service Engineers may be required to cover Customer's sites further afield, with overnight stays required.

The Candidate

To be successful in your application you must have the following skills or attributes:

  • Must have a recognised Electrical or Mechanical qualification (City & Guilds, NVQ, Apprenticeship, etc).
  • Must have previous experience Maintaining Plastics Machinery.
