?? About the Role

A brand-new, bespoke 9-bed residential support service for adults (18–65) on the autism spectrum, with complex needs, will open in early 2025 following a substantial refurbishment. As Registered Manager, you will lead the launch and ongoing development of this high-quality, person-centred service, ensuring outstanding standards and facilitating positive outcomes for residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide effective leadership and oversight for the entire service, including staffing, operations, quality assurance, and budgeting.
  • Manage and support a multidisciplinary team—including a Deputy Manager, Administrator, Activities Coordinator, and on-site maintenance staff—supported by an embedded Positive Behaviour Practitioner.
  • Ensure full compliance with regulatory standards (e.g. CQC, Social Care Wales registration), safeguarding, and health & safety requirements.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of person-centred care plans and behavioural support strategies.
  • Build strong relationships with families, healthcare professionals, external agencies, and local community stakeholders to optimise resident outcomes.
What We're Looking For
  • NVQ Level 5 (or equivalent) in Health & Social Care or a related field.
  • Proven experience managing residential services for individuals with autism and complex behaviours.
  • Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills, with a flexible and proactive mindset.
  • Thorough knowledge of current regulatory frameworks and care standards in Wales.
What’s on Offer
  • Competitive salary (around £45,000 per annum).
  • 25–28 days annual leave
  • Enhanced DBS/disclosure coverage.
  • Comprehensive induction and ongoing professional development, including leadership training and support to achieve further qualifications.
  • Access to a range of benefits—online cashback rewards, cycle-to-work scheme, SMART pension, employee assistance programme, and more.
