The Director, Brand & Creative is responsible for executing the company-s enterprise-wide brand management strategy and leading the supporting in-house creative services team. The role will play a key role in providing brand and creative solutions across the enterprise to increase brand equity and elevate our creative product to help fuel the company-s growth.

The Director-a strong brand and creative leader and strategic forward-thinker-is responsible for overseeing brand management and performance measurement and ensuring the quality of all creative products presented and delivered to our in-house partners. Works closely and collaboratively with our business brand and corporate marketing and sales teams, and other key areas of the company, to deliver strategically driven and thoughtful execution that ensures alignment on brand standards and creative direction.

Key Responsibilities

* Specific areas of responsibility include brand management, creative strategy and development, graphic design, digital design, and videography, from concept through production.

* Own, monitor, and manage all brand assets both external and internal, including brand strategy, brand experience, brand portfolio, brand standards, messaging, visual identity, and business alignment.

* Provide clarity and understanding of the value and power of the brand at the executive level. Improve organizational understanding of the brand-s impact on market value and growth. Guide discussions across organization on brand strategy, architecture and integration.

* Collaborate with business brand marketing, communications, sales and product teams to develop, implement and manage brand strategies in support of business objectives.

* Work cross-functionally to ensure brand guidelines are followed across all departments, locations and businesses; ensure brand standards are met with all Kemper assets including collateral, signage, promotional items, communications, campaigns, events, etc.

* Understands marketing, digital, and media industry trends/developments and uses this knowledge to present business building ideas for our partners.

* Manage the Kemper Shop including vendor selection and management, merchandise selection, quarterly performance reviews, inventory analysis, etc.

* Define our -internal agency- expectations for quality, consistency, and timeliness of deliverables.

* Solidify visual standards, design expectations, and brand consistency when working with designers, freelancers, and agencies.

Lead and mentor the in-house creative team; manage agency partners and freelancers.Requirements

* Minimum of 10 years- experience in brand management, design, advertising or in-house agency.

* 5+ years- experience leading and mentoring teams.

* BS or BA in design, marketing, communications, creative production, advertising or other relevant degree required.

* Strong creative leader with ability to bring abstract thoughts/ideas to fruition while maintaining a perspective on the intention of the creative work.

* Ability to deliver high quality work in a high-volume, multiple-project environment.

* Exceptional knowledge of brand strategy and management, concepts and practices.

* Omni-channel experience including print, digital, content/video.

* Project management and organizational skills, and ability to handle multiple projects at once.

* Strong visual/design sensibility; able to storyboard and visualize possible future design states and articulate concepts for internal business audiences.

* Effective leadership, interpersonal and team collaboration skills; must build good working relationships with marketing leaders in business brands.

* Prior experience managing a budget and allocating work effectively to freelance or outside agencies as workload and budget allows.

* Some travel required (15%.).
