An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Head of Stock Control to join a well-established, market-leading business operating within a fast-paced, product-driven environment.

This is a key leadership role within the supply chain function, responsible for driving effective inventory management, improving availability, and optimising stock investment across a multi-site operation.

The Role

Reporting into senior supply chain leadership, you will take ownership of the stock planning function, leading a team and implementing strategies to enhance performance and support wider business objectives.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading and developing a stock planning team
• Delivering effective inventory and stock control strategies
• Using data and forecasting to support decision-making
• Driving improvements in supplier performance and stock flow
• Reducing slow-moving and obsolete stock
• Improving processes, reporting, and ways of working
• Building strong relationships across internal and external stakeholders

About You

• Proven background in stock control, inventory planning, or supply chain
• Experience leading teams within a fast-paced environment
• Strong analytical capability (Excel and/or similar tools)
• Commercially minded, with a focus on balancing cost and service
• Confident communicator with the ability to influence stakeholders
• Continuous improvement mindset
