Reed Engineering are working alongside our client who are looking to add a Production Manager to their team on a permanent basis in the Glenrothes area. You will play a key role in managing staff, ensuring production targets are met, and supporting cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional results.

Hours: Monday - Thursday 7am - 5.15pm

Salary: £40K - 50K

Daily Duties -

Collaborate closely with the sales team to provide accurate lead-time estimates and capacity assessments
Develop and maintain efficient production schedules to meet customer demands
Work with engineering, procurement, and logistics teams to guarantee production readiness and address any bottlenecks
Monitor and improve delivery metrics to meet customer expectations and drive continuous improvement initiatives
Manage relationships with tooling suppliers to ensure timely procurement and availability of critical tools and consumables
Coordinate preventative and corrective maintenance plans with internal technicians or external service providers to minimise downtimeCandidate Requirements -

Proven experience in production management within a machine shop or manufacturing environment
Strong leadership skills and the ability to foster a high-performing team culture
Familiarity with tooling, CNC machinery, and maintenance practices
Solid understanding of manufacturing KPIs, especially OTD performance
Excellent planning, organisational, and communication abilities
