Job Title: Private Housekeeper (Part-Time)

* Location: Wanstead, London

* Salary: £20.00 - £22.00 per hour

* Contract: Part-Time | 8-Month FTC (September 2025 - May 2026)

* Hours: 18 hours per week | 12pm - 6pm (flexibility on hours) | Over three days

About the Client:

Our client is a professional, friendly family based in Wanstead with two young children and a well-behaved family dog. They are seeking a discreet, reliable, and experienced Housekeeper to support the smooth day-to-day running of their home. This part-time contract is offered for up to 8 months and involves a blend of domestic cleaning, light household organisation, occasional cooking, and possible childcare and dog walking support.

Key Responsibilities:

Housekeeping & Domestic Support

Daily cleaning and general upkeep of a 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom detached property

Maintain cleanliness in all living areas, bathrooms, and kitchen

Laundry, ironing, and basic wardrobe management

Weekly household organisation and tidying

Monitoring and restocking household supplies and pantry items

Grocery shopping and running light errands

Preparing light meals or assisting with occasional cooking

Ensuring the home is tidy, welcoming, and well-presented at all times

Additional Support

Occasional dog walking

Occasional school pickups and light support with the children (aged 11 & 13 years old )

Flexibility with tasks based on the family's weekly needs

Requirements:

Previous experience in private housekeeping, ideally in family homes

High attention to detail and strong cleaning standards

Able to work independently with initiative and reliability

Professional, discreet, and trustworthy

Flexible, organised, and capable of handling varied household tasks

Comfortable working around children and pets (dog)

Willing to undergo a DBS check (or already holds one)

Two recent and checkable references

Available to commit to a part-time contract to start September '25 until May '26
