Class 1 Driver - Shadsworth Business Park£17.50 per hour - Ongoing Work (Temp to Perm Opportunities Available)

The Best Connection are currently recruiting experienced Class 1 (C+E) Drivers for a long‑term ongoing contract based at Shadsworth Business Park. This role is ideal for professional drivers seeking stability, excellent pay, and the opportunity to secure a temp‑to‑perm position if performance is strong and consistent.
About the RoleThis position involves cage work, including deliveries and collections across set routes. Some shifts may be double‑manned, so the ability to work well as part of a team is essential. All loads are well‑organised, and there is very little handball, making this an attractive, clean driving role.

Shift Pattern & Hours- Monday to Friday
- Evening start times between 17:00 - 18:30
- Minimum 8 hours paid per shift
- Ongoing long‑term work starting 7th April
- Double‑manned shifts scheduled as required
Pay Rate- £17.50 per hour
- Weekly pay
- Holiday pay accrued separately
Key Responsibilities- Drive a Class 1 vehicle safely and professionally at all times
- Complete cage deliveries and collections across designated routes
- Work effectively on double‑manned shifts when required
- Carry out daily vehicle checks to DVSA standards
- Follow all site rules, health & safety instructions, and secure-load procedures
- Maintain accurate delivery records and paperwork
- Communicate clearly with the transport office
- Represent The Best Connection and the client to a high standard
Requirements- Valid Class 1 (C+E) licence
- Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph cards
- Minimum 1 year Class 1 experience (2 years preferred)
- Experience with cage work beneficial
- Confidence working double‑manned when needed
- Reliable, punctual, and safety‑focused
- Good communication and teamwork skills
