We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Manager to lead our childcare facility at a popular and friendly Nursery. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in early childhood education and exceptional leadership skills. As the Nursery Manager, you will oversee the daily operations of a 43-place setting, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for children and managing a team of childcare professionals.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Manage the daily operations of the nursery, ensuring compliance with all regulations and standards.
  • Lead, motivate, and support staff to deliver high-quality childcare and education.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, providing updates on their children's progress and addressing any concerns.
  • Develop and implement age-appropriate educational programmes that promote children's learning and development.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating environment for children to thrive in.
  • Oversee the recruitment, training, and professional development of nursery staff.
  • Collaborate with external agencies as necessary to support children's needs.
  • Ensure effective record keeping for children’s development and attendance.
  • Oversee all safeguarding practices and procedures for the setting.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Minimum of Level 3 qualification in a relevant field.
  • At least one year’s deputy managerial experience in a nursery or similar childcare setting.
  • Strong understanding of the EYFS framework, Ofsted Inspection framework, and experienced knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities to inspire and guide a team.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively.
  • Ability to fulfil the role of Designated Safeguarding Lead.
