Aerospace Inspector
£35,133 rising to £37,231 upon completion of first stamp.

Shifts
Days;
Monday to Thursday - 6.00am-2.30pm
Friday - 6.00am-11.30am
The first 45 minutes of the shift, 6.00am-6.45am will qualify for an unsociable hour's payment of 20% (ie. 1.2 time)

Lates;
Monday to Thursday - 2.15pm-10.30pm
Friday - 11.15am-5.45pm
This shift is eligible for a premium of 25% (1.25)

Nights;
Monday to Thursday - 8.15pm-6.15am
This shift attracts a 42% (1.42)

Weekends;
Friday, Saturday & Sunday - 11.15am-12 midnight

The shifts rotate fortnightly, with weekends (if required) rotating monthly.

Frequent overtime.

About the role

You'll be responsible for inspecting and sentencing a wide variety of aircraft landing gear components, ensuring they can be returned to serviceable condition in line with approved maintenance data. This role plays a key part in supporting flight safety and operational reliability.

Key responsibilities:

Conduct inspections and determine required repairs on aircraft landing gear components

Work in accordance with approved maintenance documentation

Collaborate with production teams and other departments

Support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce processing times and increase efficiency

What we're looking for:

Completed Engineering Apprenticeship or equivalent (preferably in aerospace)

Experience working with aircraft components

Strong communication and team collaboration skills

IT literate and adaptable to new systems

Solid mathematical and problem-solving skills

Flexible and proactive approach to work

Familiarity with Lean Sigma and 5S principles is a plus
