About the Role

An established and growing organisation is seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to lead day-to-day warehouse operations at their Sittingbourne facility. This is a key leadership position responsible for driving operational efficiency, ensuring compliance, developing the team, and managing inventory and logistics workflows to a high standard.

This opportunity is ideal for a proactive leader with strong warehouse management experience and a passion for creating a safe, organised, and high-performing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the daily operations of the warehouse, ensuring smooth, efficient workflows
  • Manage, coach, and develop warehouse staff to achieve performance targets
  • Oversee goods-in, goods-out, picking, packing, dispatch, and stock control processes
  • Maintain accurate inventory levels through effective stock management systems
  • Ensure all health & safety regulations and company policies are followed
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimise productivity and reduce costs
  • Support logistics planning and liaise with transport partners as required
  • Monitor KPIs, performance metrics, and operational data for reporting
  • Manage staffing levels, shift planning, and resource allocation
  • Maintain warehouse equipment and ensure facilities are kept to required standards

Skills & Experience Required

Essential:

  • Proven experience in a Warehouse Manager, Operations Manager, or Senior Warehouse Supervisor role
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams
  • Excellent understanding of warehouse processes, stock control, and logistics operations
  • Strong working knowledge of health & safety and compliance requirements
  • Ability to analyse operational data and drive improvement initiatives
  • Competent user of warehouse management systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office
  • Highly organised with strong problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work under pressure

Desirable:

  • Experience within FMCG, distribution, manufacturing, or similar environments
  • FLT licence(s)
  • Knowledge of Lean, 5S, or continuous improvement methodologies
