Hill McGlynn are proud to be supporting a leading building services contractor in their search for an experienced MEP Design Manager for a permanent position based in Kent.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing and reputable contractor working on a range of high-profile commercial and residential projects across the South East. The successful candidate will take ownership of the MEP design process from pre-construction through to delivery, working closely with clients, consultants, and in-house teams.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage the MEP design process across multiple projects.

*

Coordinate with consultants, architects, and internal delivery teams to ensure compliance with design and specification requirements.

*

Review and manage technical submissions, drawings, and design deliverables.

*

Attend design meetings and liaise with clients and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

*

Ensure designs are delivered on time, within budget, and meet project objectives.

*

Provide technical guidance to design and project teams.

*

Manage external design consultants and monitor their performance.

Skills & Experience

*

Previous experience in an MEP Design Manager role (contractor or consultancy background).

*

Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical building services systems.

*

Experience delivering projects across commercial, residential, and/or education sectors.

*

Excellent communication and coordination skills.

*

Proficient in reviewing CAD/BIM/Revit outputs (Revit not essential but advantageous).

*

Degree/HNC in Building Services, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or related field.

*

Chartered status or working towards (desirable).

Salary: £65,000 - £75,000 per annum (depending on experience)
