Controls Engineer - Siemens TIA Portal / WinCC - Permanent - Near Warrington - £40-45k + overtime for site work

Samuel Frank is recruiting for a Controls Engineer with Siemens knowledge to join a multi-site specialist Engineering firm with a base near Warrington. The successful Controls Engineer will need to have recent knowledge of Siemens TIA Portal including WinCC. The Controls Engineer role could suit someone with around 5 years experience.

Key aspects of the Controls Engineer role include;

* Recent and demonstrable experience of Siemens TIA Portal and WinCC

* The successful Controls Engineer will learn and ultimately be responsible for system configuration, including PLC code and WinCC SCADA configurations to meet project requirements.

* Will be mentored by a seasoned, high calibre Controls Engineer - key to be committed to learning, developing and putting into practice what's been taught

* Role will be mainly office based

* Produce project documentation including Functional Design Specifications, Project Specific Drawings, Design Risk Assessments, Test Procedures, Operator / Maintenance manuals and Training manuals

* Any knowledge of scripting and/or C++ would be beneficial

* Experience with PLC communications including PROFIBUS, Industrial Ethernet, Profinet or ModBus - nice to have

* The Controls Engineer role will involve occasional international travel and therefore applicants should not be subject to any travel restrictions

* It's estimated the successful Controls Engineer time will be split between working in the office and on site to be 70/30 with 80% of all site work being based in the UK.

The client's premises are commutable from Liverpool, Manchester, Warrington, St Helens, Runcorn, Widnes, Stockport and the surrounding areas.
