SEN Clinical Teaching Assistant - Daily Responsibilities

Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with complex needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and medical conditions
Implement therapy or intervention plans created by clinicians such as Speech & Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists, or Educational Psychologists
Support students in developing communication, sensory regulation, and social interaction skills
Assist with personal care, feeding, or mobility needs when required
Monitor and track student progress, noting behavioural or emotional changes
Create and maintain a safe, structured, and nurturing environment
Collaborate closely with teachers, clinical teams, SENCOs, and external professionals
Help prepare and adapt learning materials to suit individual learning styles
Support the development of life skills, independence, and self-regulation
Attend daily briefings, EHCP meetings, and professional training sessions as needed

Ideal Candidates Will Have:

A degree in Psychology, Criminology, or a related field
A genuine interest in mental health, child development, or educational needs
A goal to pursue a career as an Aspiring Clinical or Educational Psychologist
Empathy, resilience, and strong interpersonal skills
