H9 Technical Recruitment are partnered with the UK's leading renewable energy generator of low carbon power from captured landfill and mineral methane. We are llooking to hire a Controls and Instrumentation (C&I) Technician - East Region to be responsible for planned and reactive maintenance, fault-finding, trouble shooting, repairing, installing, modifying, and upgrading a range of electrical/electronic controls, and instrumentation systems across a range of site-based power generation plants

Role and Responsibilities:

Conducting fault diagnosis, repairs, planned and reactive maintenance activities on a range of operational C&I Assets to ensure the safe and efficient operation of sites
This includes a range of Instrumentation, (Flow, Pressure, Level and Temperature Sensors), along with Gas Analysers, PLC Systems, HMI's & Telemetry Systems
Support the servicing of Fire & Gas Detection and Safety Systems
Undertake preventative, predictive, and emergency maintenance works to meet plant reliability and performance targets
Supporting the roll out of DSEAR remedial works / periodic inspections
Liaison with Electrical, C&I, Gas Field, or Engine Technicians from other operational teams, working to assist each other in resolving issues and sharing information
Supervising and directing Approved Contractors on site who may be attending for the install, repair, or maintenance of Electrical, Control, Instrumentation or Automation Systems
Producing reports and data input into Maximo and other IT based systems
Taking responsibility of your own PPE, Vehicle, plus other Tools, and equipment issued, along with supporting maintaining the Regional C&I Workshop
Ensuring all works are carried out in line with Health & Safety policies and procedures

Skills and Qualifications:

AElectrical Technician Apprenticeship, or a City & Guilds, ONC, BTEC / NVQ recognised qualification, in Electrical, or Controls / Instrumentation Engineering
IET 18th Edition Wiring Reg's, City & Guilds 2382
Electrical generation, water utilities, heavy process, or manufacturing experience
CompEx Foundation, or CompEx 01 to 04
Knowledge of Emergency Shutdown / Safety Systems, Machinery or Process related
Knowledge of IT Networks & PC based systems
Full UK Driving Licensce
Controls, Instrumentation & Automation
LV Electrical Control Panels and safe electrical isolation procedures
Electrical Schematics & Process & Instrumentation Diagrams
Maintenance & Calibration of a range of Instrumentation
Fault finding on LV Control Circuits and Instrument Loops
Fault finding and diagnostic skills with an understanding of PID Controls
Ability to produce written maintenance and daily work reports
PLC programming, including Allen-Bradley, Mitsubishi, Schneider, or Siemens
Experience of interrogating, fault finding and maintenance of HMI, SCADA, PLC & Telemetry Systems
Communication Networks, Converters & Protocols, including Ethernet, CAN-Bus, Profibus, RS232/485 Serial, Fiber Optics
