Job Description
We are looking for an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant to join a school in the Worcester area, supporting pupils with autism spectrum condition (ASC), complex needs, and challenging behaviour. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone with resilience, empathy, and a proactive approach to personalised learning.

Key Responsibilities

Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with ASC and complex needs

Support emotional regulation and help pupils manage challenging behaviours

*

Work alongside the class teacher to deliver tailored learning activities

*

Promote a safe, structured and positive learning environment

*

Maintain consistent routines and strategies to support student development

Required Experience

*

Previous experience supporting children with ASC, complex needs, or behavioural challenges

*

Ability to remain calm and responsive in high-pressure situations

*

Strong interpersonal skills, with a caring and patient attitude

*

A clear understanding of safeguarding and SEND support strategies
