We are a reputable, reliable and growing manufacturer who are expanding and looking for a reliable and dedicated Technical Engineer to work within their fast moving environment.


Reporting to the Engineering Manager and Senior Technical Engineer, your role is to support them in the day to day projects, breakdowns and to implement a robust planned maintenance system and optimise operational performance through planned maintenance and improvement activities in order to deliver high levels of plant availability and reliability to ensure production schedules and customer service requirements are met. This is a hands on role with a large amount interesting opportunities in engineering.

Lead by example, drive and adhere to health, safety and environmental working practices in accordance with company policies, procedures and legal requirements.
Develop and drive a culture of continuous improvement in the maintenance department through the use of lean techniques and tools to bring around operational transformation and culture change.
Ensure cost effective maintenance of the equipment, plant and buildings
Provide a timely and efficient breakdown service to minimise machinery downtime
Ensure that the maintenance structure is optimised to provide the most efficient cover for the plant.
Identify training requirements of your team.
Utilise good sound knowledge of the plant and it's workings to enable you to make informed decisions regarding breakdowns, repairs and maintenance.
Deliver plant improvement through effective use of preventative maintenance.
Provide a consistent leadership style that promotes teamwork, open communication, can do attitude, leading by example and a culture of continuous improvement.
Work closely with the production to ensure optimum productivity of the factory.
Continuous Improvements

Completed a recognised engineering apprenticeship and/or hold relevant engineering qualifications in EITHER Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
Maintenance Management or Supervisory or Team Leadership experience.
Experience of maintenance within an industrial or manufacturing environment
Ability to prioritise and delegate workload and use own initiative in a fast paced production environment
Exposure and promotion of Health & Safety is essential
Proactive work attitude and keen to get stuck in
Friendly, adaptable and ability to inspire others

Double Days, Monday - Friday

5.30am - 2pm / 1.30pm - 10pm

£ 41,758.08 + Monthly & Weekly Bonus + Plenty of overtime paid at premium after 40 hours
