SPECIALIST SEN TUTORS

LIVERPOOL

Pay: £25-£30 per hour

Contract: Temporary | Part-Time | Flexible Hours (choose morning, afternoon, or evening sessions)

Prospero Teaching works closely with local councils to provide high-quality, personalised tuition for looked-after children and students with EHCPs. We are seeking dedicated tutors who are passionate about helping young people overcome barriers and achieve meaningful progress. WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Deliver 1:1 tuition in Functional Skills, Maths and/or English, tailored to each learner's needs, abilities, and learning style.

• Support students with a wide range of SEN, including Autism, ADHD, SEMH, global developmental delay, and communication difficulties.

• Plan and deliver individualised lessons aligned with EHCP targets or identified support needs.

• Build trust and engagement through a calm, consistent, and encouraging approach.

• Work collaboratively with parents, carers, schools, and other professionals to ensure coordinated support. WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• Minimum of 1 year's experience supporting children or young people with SEN in an educational or therapeutic setting.

• Experience teaching or supporting Functional Skills and/or core subjects (Maths or English).

• Right to work in the UK.

• Willingness to complete an Enhanced DBS check.

• SEN-related training or qualifications such as Autism, Social Communication, or ABA experience.

• PGCE or QTS is preferred.

• Experience working in alternative provisions or outside mainstream classroom environments is an advantage.
