My client a dynamic and rapidly expanding multimillion-pound construction company with experience in the education, local government, housing, retail and energy sectors.

They are now on the hunt for a talented Quantity Surveyor to join their dedicated team.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee all cost-related aspects of construction projects, from initial estimates to final evaluations, ensuring projects are completed within budgetary constraints.
Manage the procurement process, including sourcing materials and subcontractors, negotiating contracts, and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services.
Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify potential cost overruns or delays and develop strategies to mitigate these risks.
Collaborate with design and construction teams to optimize project costs while maintaining quality standards, through value engineering initiatives.
Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including cost forecasts, cash flow projections, and variance analyses, to facilitate informed decision-making.
Administer contracts, including reviewing contract documents, assessing contractor claims, and resolving disputes to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.Requirements:

Minimum of 5 years' experience in a Quantity Surveyor role within the construction industry, demonstrating a strong track record of successful project delivery.
Proficiency in cost estimation, quantity take-off, and cost management software is highly desirable.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to interpret complex data and formulate actionable insights.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
Keen attention to detail and accuracy, coupled with the ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
A collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams to achieve common goals.Benefits:
