Strategic Marketing Project Lead

FTC 9–12 months | Part-time (3 days per week) | North Wales - Salary £45k

We are seeking an experienced Senior Digital Marketing Leader to lead a major digital and marketing transformation project. This role is ideal for someone who combines strategic vision with hands-on delivery, excellent stakeholder engagement, and confident leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the website redevelopment, including structure, content, and user experience.
  • Oversee CRM integration and ensure seamless alignment with marketing activity.
  • Develop and implement social media strategy, branding, and team training.
  • Establish and manage analytics, reporting dashboards, and KPI tracking tools.
  • Coordinate internal contributions (content, data, approvals) to meet project deadlines.
  • Lead, manage, and drive all project activity end-to-end.
  • Manage timelines, budgets, KPIs, and internal/external stakeholders.
  • Translate consultancy recommendations into clear, actionable implementation.
  • Strengthen marketing team capability and embed sustainable processes.
  • Ensure clear communication and alignment across all teams and stakeholders.
  • Foster a culture of storytelling, content creation, and strong marketing engagement.
  • Line manage a small marketing team.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Proven digital marketing leadership experience.
  • Demonstrable success delivering complex marketing or transformation projects.
  • Strong strategic, analytical, and organisational skills.
  • Ability to build trust, influence stakeholders, and drive accountability.
  • Confident managing external partners, agencies, and budgets.
  • Broad digital and traditional marketing knowledge across multiple channels.
  • Experience setting, tracking, and delivering against KPIs.
  • Experience in the education sector (desirable).
  • Experience with digital transformation, website redevelopment, or re-platforming.
  • Strong experience working with CRM systems and marketing analytics tools.
