School Administrator and HR Assistant

Temporary Immediate Start based in SW London - Job Type: Full-time, Term Time Only (with flexibility during school holidays)

We are seeking a dedicated School Administrator and HR Assistant to join our team. This dual role involves providing administrative support to both the Year Office and the HR Department, ensuring efficient operations and compliance with school policies. This position is ideal for individuals who excel in fast-paced environments and are capable of handling multiple responsibilities with precision.

Day-to-day of the role:

Morning - Year Office Administration (8:30 AM - 12:30 PM)

  • Provide administrative and secretarial support to the Year Office and Phase Leaders.
  • Handle phone messages, manage year displays, organise returns, and copy work for tutor time.
  • Maintain effective communication with students, parents, and staff.

Afternoon - HR Administration (1:30 PM - 5:30 PM)

  • Support the HR Department with administrative tasks, especially during peak recruitment periods.
  • Manage recruitment processes, including recording electronic applications, assisting with shortlisting, and preparing interview materials.
  • Arrange New Staff Induction, including booking rooms and organising refreshments.
  • Maintain up-to-date employment files and records, ensuring compliance with legal documentation requirements.
  • Assist with data entry and the preparation of documentation for new hires and leavers.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in an HR department or similar administrative role.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • High level of IT literacy, proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with SIMS/SAMS systems.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Experience in a school environment is desirable but not essential.
