Our Public sector client is looking to recruit an experienced Project Manager

3 months - possible extension

Full remote working

£250 - £300 per day Umbrella

37.5 hours per week

Inside IR35

Mostly work from home however will be required travel to various locations in East Sussex when events are being held - mileage claim available.

Purpose of the Role:

The post-holder will be in a position to work independently leading and planning projects. Providing co-ordination, direct management and evaluation of a range of Recovery and Renewal projects. As we return to business as usual this post holder will need to be flexible to carry out some residual COVID related work as well as focus on the substantial portfolio.

Key tasks:
1. Lead the development and delivery of a range of projects related to Recovery and Renewal. This will include Arts in Health and Quality Improvement projects.
2. Responsible for coordinating these projects - identifying key milestones, making decisions, and bringing in relevant colleagues both within East Sussex County and with relevant external partners.
3. Manage a member of staff ensuring they are developed and supported.
4. Horizon scan considering the emerging nature of this portfolio.
5. Work as a member of all relevant steering groups and working groups aligned to the portfolio.
6. Undertake activities to support Research and Evaluation, for example literature review.
7. Monitor progress of public health budgets associated with Recovery and Renewal, and proactively identify areas for development.
8. Synthesize and interpret new guidance updates and present highlights at relevant steering group meetings and write briefings or reports as required.
9. Deputise for other colleagues, ranging from Specialist Public Health to Consultant level, at programme steering group meetings.
10. Represent public health in a range of networking events, including national and regional updates and webinars.

1. Experience of managing and coordinating multiple projects simultaneously
2. Ideally have experience of managing public health related projects
3. Strong stakeholder management experience
