EDM Machinist
Location: Stroud
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent - Double Days Shift Rotation
Salary: up to £15.50 per hour plus generous shift allowance

Key Responsibilities:

* Set up and operate multiple EDM/Wire machines in line with production requirements

* Ensure all products meet required quality, quantity, and cost standards while adhering to production schedules

* Maintain a safe working environment and comply with company Health & Safety policies

* Take full responsibility for the quality and inspection of machined parts, including cleaning and de-burring

* Use provided set-up sheets, tooling, fixtures, and Edgecam programs supplied by Production Engineering

* Monitor EDM machine performance to ensure cycle times meet estimated costed times

* Conduct in-process inspections using micrometers, verniers, and CMM reports

* Communicate effectively with the opposite shift machinist during shift handovers

Key Skills and Experience:

* Proven experience in operating and controlling EDM/Wire machines

* Ability to read and understand CNC machine code and related setup parameters

* Strong understanding of datum setting, tool length, and wear offsets

* Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings

* Familiarity with machining Duplex and Nickel Alloy materials

* Experienced in using inspection gauges for part verification
