Willowmere Care Centre is a specialist care home in Barnet, North London supporting adults with complex nursing needs, dementia and mental health conditions. The home offers 119 purpose designed bedrooms and delivers clinically led care within a structured, supportive environment focused on dignity, stability and wellbeing.

Role Overview
As Head Housekeeper, you will lead the housekeeping team and take full responsibility for maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and presentation across the home. Your role will be essential in supporting a safe, structured and comfortable environment for residents with complex health needs.

You will organise and oversee daily housekeeping operations, ensuring all areas including residents' bedrooms, communal spaces and facilities are consistently maintained to a high standard. You will lead by example, setting clear expectations and supporting your team to deliver high quality work.

Working closely with the Home Manager and wider team, you will ensure cleaning schedules are effective, infection control procedures are followed and the home remains compliant with health and safety standards. You will monitor quality, carry out checks and respond promptly to any issues or concerns.

You will also manage housekeeping supplies and equipment, ensuring stock levels are maintained and resources are used efficiently. Through your leadership, you will help create a clean, calm and welcoming environment that supports residents' wellbeing and dignity.

What We Are Looking For

•  Previous experience in a housekeeping or cleaning supervisory role
•  Strong organisational and leadership skills
•  Good communication skills and ability to support and motivate a team
•  High attention to detail and commitment to standards
•  Understanding of health and safety and infection control procedures
