Extra Recruitment are looking for a Wood Machinist in the Cradley Heath area.
to join a well-established timber supplier based in Cradley Heath. This is a hands-on, physical role suited to someone with proven experience operating timber machinery - not a carpentry position.

Details of a Wood Machinist

* Cradley Heath

* Monday - Friday

* 7am - 4pm Monday to Thursday

* 7am - 3:30pm - Friday

* £13.10ph

* 38.75 hours paid per week

* This role can lead to a permanent contract for the right candidate

Role of a Wood Machinist

* Operate industrial wood machinery such as rip saws, crosscut saws, and other timber processing equipment

* Cut and prepare timber to specification with attention to quality and safety

* Ensure all machinery is used and maintained correctly

* Work efficiently as part of a production team

* Adhere to all site health and safety policies

Requirements of a Wood Machinist

* Essential: Previous experience operating timber machinery (particularly rip saws)

* Strong understanding of timber processing and machine safety

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team

* Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling

* Reliable and punctual
