We are seeking an experienced and qualified Social Worker to step into a Team Manager role within one of our Children in Our Care Teams (previously Permanence team). This is a fixed-term opportunity, ideal for professionals looking to enhance their leadership skills and make a strategic contribution to the development of our services.

Day-to-Day of the Role:
  • Manage and provide leadership to a team of social work and social care staff, ensuring flexible, reliable, and responsive service delivery to Children, Young People, Carers, and Families.
  • Coordinate team activities, allocate work appropriately, and monitor completion to expected standards.
  • Conduct formal supervision, support professional development, and manage various staff management activities.
  • Ensure adherence to budget and resource management protocols, and maintain high standards of data quality on social care systems.
  • Lead the strategic contribution to service development and ensure the implementation of Quality Assurance standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Qualified Social Worker with substantial experience in a similar role within children's social care.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively.
  • Strong understanding of the legal frameworks and policies related to children in care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working collaboratively with various internal and external stakeholders.
  • Competency in using ICT tools and social care systems, preferably with knowledge of Salesforce.
