SALARY: £32,000 + Benefits

The prime purpose of this role is to manage the day-to-day accounting functions. The specific means by which this is to be achieved is through: Business Modelling/Performance Managing the appropriate financial controls, procedures and processes Preparing information for accurate P&Ls Pre and Post events including profiling, attendance and SPH assumptions Preparing information for accurate & timely Weekly, Monthly and Rolling Forecasts and annual budgeting/forecasting process Completing month end process Assisting in improving Working Capital including debt management, stock & cash control Embedding appropriate business performance tools, ensuring they are understood and utilised by venue team Clear and concise internal reporting and preparation for business reviews Ensure appropriate business modelling tool is utilised by each cost centre and is understood by management team Assist unit management team in understanding of key commercial drivers of business Commercial Support Working closely with GM and HODs to ensure full awareness of all financial drivers in the business Assisting in driving commercial initiatives to maximise Revenue and optimise cost control & margin delivery Analysis of business segmentation and profitability Assisting cash office manager to ensure a secure, well resourced & efficient cash operation at venue Business analysis – optimising margin delivery, segment reporting, pre and post event day reviews Updating and collection of most recent data for Forecasting Managing shopping baskets and working closely with the on-site team to analyse weekly performances Assist with client billing, detailed analysis and client Completion of SPH Data and analysis against total ExCel revenue Liaising with on-site Team to ensure prompt reporting of figures post event and the billing of said sales. Assisting in the Completion of Client Budgets and completion of Royalty statements Unit Margin Control Working closely with departments to support the delivery of accurate stocktakes and recording of inter departmental transfers. To support the separate reporting of different cost centres within the unit Training of unit team to increase financial awareness People Relationship Management Work in partnership with FBP to improve financial performance Training of unit management team to increase financial awareness and adherence to control procedures Be the pro-active link between venue and head office teams to ensure all month end and general finance processes are working as well as required Person Specification Corporate Alignment – aligns team to the business (Value: Responsibility) Results Orientation – Goes the extra mile (Value: Can Do) Responding to Customers – Takes personal responsibility (Value: Passion) Integrity – Acts on values and beliefs ( Value: Integrity) Working together for the business – Keeps people informed (Value: Teamwork) Holding Others Accountable – sets performance standards (Value: Responsibility) Essential AAT/ACCA/CIMA professional qualification with 2/3 years industry (catering/hospitality) experience High numeric and analytical skills and attention to detail Able to work in a fast paced environment Vast experience using Microsoft Office especially Excel Knowledge of SAP or similar software Excellent communication skills - ability to communicate oral and written information concisely and logically Pro-active approach Ability to analyse and evaluate information Excellent inter personal skills with proven ability to influence internal and external parties Self-motivated with an ability to effectively plan and organise own work Ability to take on a broad spectrum of work under pressure and to deliver in agreed timescales Previous operational experience Self-motivated and ability to adapt to a changing environment Flexibility to travel for event support
